"Paul's knowledge of his subjects is outstanding.
He was able to instantly engage with my autistic son in a friendly and caring way, helping with his self esteem and confidence as well as teaching him the subjects and how to pass the exams"

Paul Giffney - Private Tutor

I have been working in the education world for the last 17 years.

Whenever I have been working 1-2-1 as a private tutor, assistant, or SEN support worker; with groups as a class teacher, a head of department, or even as the head of a small school, I knew one thing:

education matters!

The most important thing is knowing how a student learns - what makes them interested in something, how they process information and (ultimately) how they retain it for use in life later (not just exams but for bettering of self as well!)

When this is known, learning can happen, and fast! This helps me get results: a student's confidence increases quickly when they know how to better themselves and only then can improvements truly happen.

As a result of this, I have worked with all ages and abilities from 8 year olds up to adults, helping them learn what either the national curriculum has required, or creating a personalised learning schedule for the student(s) .

Are YOU needing a tutor for either yourself or someone in your household?  I 's price scheme is individually tailored dependent upon your income(s) and personal situation(s) - I would rather have more students than more money* and knows all too well that not everyone has lots to spare right now. Please contact me here and make an enquiry:

I am fully DBS Enhanced checked and will provide certification details on request.
